In Like a Lion

I am going to take the plunge this long month. This is a big project! It is a UFO I started in 2008. Paper pieced pickle dish arcs. The pattern was in QNM, Jan 2008. The designer used blacks, browns, and creams. I loved the look and made my arcs the same color ways. My creative idea is to turn these spiky pickle dishes into our beloved desert horny toad, a tiny and gentle lizard that lives in SW Idaho. I will add appliqued head, tail, and limbs, and have the little guys scurrying around a large wall hanging. My goal is to get the top completed this month.
